Today i got home to a brand spankin new repsol coloured blade in my garage. It got delivered on wednesday but due to working away i didnt actually get to see it/ride it until this afternoon.

Iv had alot of bikes over the last 10 years! And i have to say...i have a new favourite. I love it.

    Anyway here it is.

Any modification recommendations? Tank pads? Huggers? Exhausts? The stock one is waaaay too quiet

Im tempted to go for the racefit growler but fear its too loud. I had a yoshi r77 on the cb1000r iv just chopped in for the blade and that was about as loud as id like to go!!

    Hi Ash and welcome.
From experience the first thing I'd fit is Stompgrips.

I ordered the tail tidy and smaller plate the same day i ordered the bike. Unfortunately no one was in to pay the customs charge so its with the royal mail :(

Venture shield full kit as you will cry each time you wash it and find another new stone chips and comes with yank protection too.

    Hi Ash bike looks brilliant.
Take off the pillion pegs, fit tail tidy and replace the can, jobs done.

Thanks Brad, iv been looking at cans all day. Its doing my head in. I love the look of the akrapovic megaphone & the racefit growler. but expect theyre too loud. Only other option i like the look of is the scorpion rp-1?

I had the scorpion on my blade, great sound with baffle out (loud but not neighbours calling police loud) and with baffle in it's much more pleasant on longer journeys, but still loud enough so cars can hear you.

Racefit look the nuts, but on a long journey rekon the noise would become tedious. I'd consider the Akrapovic. Good luck with your choice and post some pictures.

Sounds like the route i might need to take!!! Thank you. You say had...have you changed the bike or changed the exhaust? I had an R77 on my cb1000r and as nice as it sounded, that would be my limit lol

Isnt the akra just as loud, if not louder than the growler?

Welcome pal, I have the road legal Akra with cat and I find it loud enough without the baffle in tbh.

My first consideration would be a rad guard Ash....

I would generally think about the bikes protection before performance and looks.

Radiator guard is a must, my brother and my mate both got holes in their radiators within a couple of weeks of each other. Ventureshield would also be a high priority if you want to avoid stone chips. I've just fitted a Scorpion RP-1 to my 2014 blade, sounds impressive with baffle out looks better in the flesh than any pictures I've seen and has a BSAU stamp if your insurance company requires you to fit a road legal exhauts.

Another positive review of the scorpion. Definitely helping to nudge me in that direction. Any recommendation of where i could order some ventureshield from?

    Slowly getting there...

Today i fitted some Ventureshield. Rad Guard. Fork Protectors. Non Cut Bungs. Targa Tail Tidy & Custom LED Integrated Tail Light.

Exhaust has got to be next, the stock one sounds appalling. I hate it lol
