Hi guys Just joined the forum. Sold my Ducati's last week and in the process of doing a deal on a 2011 Blade. Looking at getting an Akrapovic race rear can OR Akrapovic full race system with power comander 5 fitted. Also looking at getting Gilles AVS rear sets fitted. Any advice would be greatly appreciated especially from current owners who may have got either option fitted to their bike. The bike will be used in road but will also spend a lot of time on track. Another Camberley lad! Welcome I have a 2010 with the Akrapovic Carbon slip on. I also have a PCV but have not bothered fitting it yet - the bike seems absolutely fine without so far. I guess the PCV will add a little better response at lower revs and smooth it out a little but I cant say that it needs it to be honest. I will hopefully find time to fit it soon and be able to report back the difference. Where you thinking of getting your 2011 from? Some good deals to be had still. Let me know if you fancy a ride one day.
personally, i wouldnt bother with gilles. for the money they charge you can buy a pair of hrc/hrp rearsets! as for can/system, generally, the only 2 i would use (and have) are Leo Vince or Akrapovic.
PCV & Leo Vince end can for me as I didn't see the point of paying a fortune for the Akrapovic can, never mind full system.
