At 19k (miles) I need a new chain (and presumably sprocket). Is it worth going for the OEM one from a dealer? Or is there a better one for occasional commuting? (2-3x per week into London).

Dealer quotes about £150 for chain and sprocket (Motoden).

What I used last time, probably half of the stealer prices or they just sell chains too and you then chose which sprockets you want! Renthal, talan etc

Just doing mine this weekend along with new bearings, all ready for new tyres this week. I do my chain and sprockets every 10k normally however, as I got new wheels thought I would give the old girl some new shiny stuff. Got the oem front sprocket as its got the rubber bush thing and as you can't see it don't matter what it looks like ;)

I finally got round to it... OEM, but not really happy with the price. Ended up at £260 including labour and VAT... Think that's the last time I'll use the dealer. Might be back to SBK City for me, or drop it out at Crowthorne...
