Most people iv spoke to with a blade that have had clip ons have changed them back not long after. Gets harsh on your wrists but it depends if its a track bike/fun bike or a road bike you do a lot of milage on.

road bike the odd track day, i was going to do the whole lot together. clip ons, brembo rcs, hrc throttle and clutch cable. would the clip ons be more extreme than the standard honda set up.

You remove the top yoke, its a straight forward jod to do. The hardest part is removing your internal bar weights but theres a nack to that too. Mind you I'm only familiar with the RR4 to 7?
Which blade are you working on?

Yeah the standard bars rise up from the clamp where race bars will come out straight from the clamp and be alot lower

Iv heard some people have clearance issues as well if you get a set that are angled down to much.. I think the last 2 members on here with race clip ons both changed back to standard as anymore riding than an hour they're wrists where hurting.

Do you want them for a more aggressive riding position or just to have race set up ?

Just to give you an idea of how much lower they will be

standard bars ( note how much they rise from the clamp )

Race bars ( the tubes come straight out from the clamp with out rising first )

If you go out and put some thing in line with the clamp on your you will get a rough idea what the new positioning wil be , You can get race clip ons that rise as well thou but not as much as standard but i think for a lot more money

    Hope this helps mate

Your better off sticking with the OE bars as like said others are far to low, asthe blades are offset higher.

If you fit lower bars it will upset the balance if the bike. I know lads who have tried them on their track bikes and changed back as it upset the handling alot.

Plus race ones dont have end weights so will wreck your hands after a short time.

thanks for the replys very interesting, i must admit i did have concerns on clearance as the offset is clear to see in dans pics. i might give it a miss and keep them standard. the bike is an 09 btw.

I think standard is best , Keep an eye on Ebay thou incase a bargain comes up, That way if you don't like them you won't loose any money selling them on
