Hi to the forum. This seems like a good place to find out about a prospective new purchase. I currently have a Blackbird, but have an itch for an 06 or 07 Fireblade, so I thought I better do a bit of homework where people who know, discuss the cause of that itch
Hello and welcome to the forum. I had a Blackbird for 14 years prior to moving on to the blade. What a great bike that was, but the itch started for me when on a ride out with some mates on sports bikes I started scraping my footrests on the road surface. The itch ended when my brother gave me a go on his recently purchased 2010 blade and the decision was made there and then. It was the right decision.
Thanks guys. Decided I need a test ride on an 06 07 model. The best I can do locally is an 05 but by all account this should give me and idea of what to expect. I did sit on an 08 earlier and didn't think it was too bad a seating position at all.
