    Been wanting this jacket for a while now..took the plunge and bought one... :)

    Its a nice tight fit...I found I feel my confidence levels increase with a more fitted jacket then a loose one...is this normal..or is this just me?

    Have my first ever trip planned to south of France in August...you think I will be on with this jacket and not too uncomfortable..or do I need something different..touring jacket maybe??

    The tighter the better for safety fella. What about the lower half? I have a 1piece and 2piece leathers and wouldn't ride without them these days, I've seen the damage a 15mph off can do!

    Agree tho you do get that almost invincible feeling all wrapped up in protective gear ;)

    The tighter the jacket, the less it's likely to lift and bunch up under your helmet and constrict your movement.

    It's a cross I bear from being an odd shape (don't!), long legs, short body, so when I perch on the bike my jacket pushes upwards. When I check over my shoulder, I catch the chin bar on my shoulder cups. I feel a lot more able to twist around the bike in my textiles than I do my leathers because the crumple up rather than move.

    Perhaps that's what you're noticing.

    GP pro, very cool mate.......I've got the one piece version and it seems really good. I'd imagine it'll be fine for your France trip but no need to decide now mate, give it a few outings and see how you feel in august.

    my brother is saying to get a textile jacket... as it will get hot - as leather will get real uncomfortable..? and will be difficult to get on and off..and will sweat allot in it..and its heavy

    any thoughts?

    Got to go with the leather jacket for protection and looks, wear a thin long sleeve top under your jacket to stop it from sticking to your body.
    The textile jacket will be very warm to wear.

    I have textiles and leathers and both have their benefits
    Textiles - Waterproof, easy to put on, warmer especially with liners fitted.
    Leathers - Better fit, more comfortable, better protection.

    Basically I wear textiles if it's chucking with rain or if commuting, apart from that it is dead animal all the way.

    i would go with textiles all day! more comfortable as on the bike/one position longer dont have to stop if the weather ges dodgey if your that worried about the protection just upgrade the armour,can still wear a back protector too

    i also find once the vents in the jacket are open its lovely and cool

    I also have the exact same one piece version in the same colours. I say wear it as it'll give a little anyway and you'll be safer in it. Enjoy!!

    Nothing beats a good fitting set of leathers for protection,and i agree with you it boosts your confidence feeling better protected. That said,i've always worn my textiles when going touring,usually because of the unpredictability of the british weather.
    However,if you're heading for a warmer climate,i'd say wear the leathers,get a good 2 piece moisture wicking base layer and get a rainsuit,as when it rains abroad it always seems heavier than here.

    Protection sounds good..not if i am not comfortable with riding in it. i tend to sweat allot...and thinking it will be difficult getting in and out of them specially if it is really hot?

    Dry weather == Leather.
    Wet weather == Leather...

    I never wear anything else. A pair of thin long johns and a t-Shirt underneath in the summer. Yes, you sweat some, but most jackets are ventilated anyway. And as long as you have the under garments on, they just slip off anyway.

    I do have a Weise 2-piece with waterproof inserts if it's cold & wet. But the trousers are not my favourite... They're more for a touring bike I think. Need to replace them.

    IMNSHO, In the summer, it's not uncomfortable to get wet... The sheer enjoyment of riding tends to make that something that just doesn't bother me...
