Hmm what about Zx and Rsv for a all over test. Only care about track times anyway and once they had a little bit of money spent on them. Still like the magazine but never get a real life test I think

I read that, think they still think the bmw comes out on top, but possibly r1 is a better road bike.... I prefer my trusty non gadgety blade, which is cheaper, fast enough for me, and I don't like the look of the r1's new flat nose.... But I have a soft spot for a pannigale, they are beautiful

Looking at the picture, I think the first mod for my shiny new R1 would be a rad guard.

Due to the price of most Bikes Rads the first Mod for ANY New Bike should be a Rad Guard!

Outcome seems to be as follows

R1 for engine and Track Fun
BMW for road manners, exceptional Fuel Consumption, and best all rounder/living with.
Panni for Sunday 'out of Town' Blasts, Beauty and all round 'Theatre'

Depends what U want nowadays, no Bike is shyte, just different seems to be the overall consensus!

I'd take the r1 for track, pani for road all day long....

That said, the r1 is a great deal cheaper so got to be better value for money bike. And will start ;)
