I am looking at buying a new lid for myself. It's a HJC is-17 Just would like some reviews or opinions on the HJC lids in general and, of course, if anyone has one of these in particular, is it any good.
I've got a HJC lid and it's a nicer fit, quieter and lighter than my Shark. Good value too. Had it just over a year and it's been fine. Mine has a nifty lock on the visor to stop it lifting at speed which works well, but does mean the visor can be tricky to lift quickly. Other than that I'd recommend them.
I've only ever had HJC as was recommended by HG when I first started riding, but have no complaints. Always gone for the top end though with composite/fibreglass shells, but i'm not sure if the IS models are just ABS? Good to see a pinlock screen as standard though.
Bought this a while ago... Far better fit than my old Arai GP..... I always use earplugs but as it's vented good value for money helmet..... But what is a snug fit for you will differ for others.... It has to be about fit.... So make sure you try many.....
tried the hjc r-pha 10 and 10 plus,am now looking at one on internet it is down to 199/239 quid will prob buy one.ben spies rep.
got a hjc pha 10+ or something like that and love it! nice n light! free smoke tint visor and clear pinlock and good venting all good here
For my bonce its a perfect snug fit.......the clip is a bit odd at first but you get used to it.......I like a small amount of venting anyhow via visor and at speeds over 120 plus around tracks..... I don't get any issues with it flipping up or feel its being ripped off my head..... it wont suit everyone but for me its a good helmet...... I wont be going back to Arai RX7 Gp any more as im pissed with pod breaking and awkward visor changing.....its piss easy on this one !!
