I always knew you needed to change your lid after a while but consensus seems to be every 3-5 years. Im back to biking and my Arai Nakano is 17 years old so no option really. Still the best looking lid imho. Brought this today Anyone got an Shoei X spirit 3? Thoughts?
What ever you buy check out sportsbike shop online as very accommodating for returns when trying to size stuff. Good prices too
I've got one, really good quality lid. Fairly quiet and handles wind buffeting very well ! They are very expensive though. I paid £399 for mine which was a bargain seeing as they're selling for nearer £500 now! Gave mine the Red Bull treatment
Got it for £468 but had to hunt around. Would have preferred some of the other designs but they were more expensive. The main thing is that my noggin is well protected and im a Marquez fanboy lol. Probably dropping in price as he may not be back this year. Unable to open a window safely you see
If I ever got another, it would have to be the Daijiro Katoh Rep. I still vividly remember the day he crashed and died. I actually cried that night I had little 74's on my blue Cbr 600rr in tribute and always wanted his Shoei replica. Its still one of the best designs to this day. RIP Daijiro San......
I bought the Daijiro a few years back. It's the one that saved my head when it hit the curb. Still got it too. Seems daft but I didn't recognise the backward facing eyes as eyes till well after. Always buy Shoei, seems to fit me best.
Got my eye on one when it’s time to replace my lid in August. Really like the TC2 colour scheme but have now seen its being discontinued Actually would’ve preferred a GT Air 2, but the fact that they’re in cahoots with Sena now and you can’t mount any other brand of intercom on it has ruled it out for me. ...Shoei still win though as I’m now looking at the X spirit instead!
