Taking delivery of a 2019 cbr1000 RR SP2 tomorrow. Been a GSXR rider for many years and still have 750 . Been lucky enough to have a couple of BMW S1000 RR both a 2016 and a 2018 model Only previous Honda was a cbr600f which was used for IAM advanced training so i didnt get too carried away. Have tried the naked variety Speed Triple 1200 RS and didnt enjoy the riding position, wide bars and upright position which meant your body just took the full wind at speed, which I didn't enjoy so I traded it with 800 mls on it, for the Blade... expensive lesson on buying the right bike. Located in Dorset mainly a fairweather rider ...if its horrid I ll take the car zimples Love a good bike forum.
Delivery all went smoothly couldnt resist a run out for 40 mins. Initial impressions, very smooth in all areas, suspension really pleasant, Easiest "Superbike" I ve ever ridden. Requires careful attention not to get into silly mph. Would rate higher than a Beemer RR for road use. Like all the fly by wire electronics you need an evening in the handbook before trying too many changes. Very pleased with bike and way it rides and look forward to some dry winter miles.
