Hi All Picked up my first Honda and first Blade a couple of weeks ago... thought I should join and introduce myself. Was always a Kwak man myself... had the test bike from the training centre... a very lowly ER5, then a ZX6R and then in 2006 a ZX10-R! Lost my company in the recession, so bang went the toys... started again just over a year ago with a 1998 Yamaha R1... and now... a 2004 Honda CBR1000RR!!! Never ridden a Honda, or test ride this one... but as soon as I saw the bike... I just had to buy it!!! And haven't looked back since ;') Enjoying the new ride :')
welcome mate, my last bike was also a 2006 zx-10r, how did you get on with it, i only had mine for 9 months as i just couldnt get a good feel for the front end on it
Hi Mike glad you are back in business both work and bikes. Fez i i had two ZX10s and like you could not tame them the power was ok but just to stiff for the road ,had some set up work done but still no go so sold it and bought an R1 instant success so i decided it must be me so bought another which is the only bike i can't find a photo of but it was a Nakano Gp Dream machine job but yet again to stiff for the road and went around corners chattering to every ripple. This is the only bike i have had of which a proper power band kicked in i can remember getting to about 140 and the sucker shot from under my arse and i had to drag myself back up the seat as you know 140 on the blade is easy but i did enjoy the power .Idid consider a new 10 recently but it appears to look quite small. the 04 05 models were savage and i consider myself a smooth rider, with the 06 i owned i had no problem with the outright power of the bike but when the bike was at a decent lean angle it just didnt give any confidence to open the throttle. dont think the pilot powers i had on it helped with that though
Glad you saw the light Mike We always like a convert on here! It nice to see you embracing Hondas finest! Welcome aboard buddy
