Seen the review of this in the MCN and if it is as good as they say then I'll be heading down to the local dealership for a test ride. I've been looking at these for a while (the 1000cc model at least), but think in this form with 800cc and triple engine, it should make for a cracking road bike. mv agusta f3 800 - Google Search
Its meant to be on a par with the GSXR750 so I'd say it would be better than the 848. Sorry phantom I know you like the 848 I'd agree that a baby Panigale would be awesome, but I've always had a soft spot for the MV, and by the sounds of things they have finally sorted the fuelling issues.
750 only has the top end....848 shits all over it in acceleration so I think I will pass on the MV800 then lol
hey cant fault a good bike...same way on the duke site I would say you cant beat honda quality, mind you im eating my words with this one lol I am really in a toss up between a RSV4, 1098, new R1 or 2008 MV F4 1000. I think I will just have to test ride each one and see what I think. I didnt really like the 1098 when I first rode it favoring the 848 but I think with a few years on a duck the 1098 might feel better and have a test ride coming soon for a 2010 R1.
I also fancied the 1098, and contemplated getting 1 before the blade, but having only ridden for just over a year, I decided the blade would be the better option. (glad I did as its awesome). I'm going to take a test ride on both the F3 800 and also the new F4 1000, as the fuelling issues have now been sorted (apparently) on all the new models with a new map. The Panigale would be a great bike if they made it around the 899cc mark. I've said it for a while now to my mate, who has the GSXR750, that manufacturers really need to get this capacity of bike back up and running again.
the 1098 is a little bit of a handful on twisty roads which is where the 848 came into its own, it was the baby brother but could still power wheelie at 120 lol. the guy that did all the work on the duke for me said the only issues he seen with the 08 f4 1000 was the rear hub giving the odd bit of trouble but then he said it isnt a big job.
