so the poor old rr4 has seen some harsh weather the radiator was battered. I'd had it off and soaked it in a large plastic tub I use for the bbq trays and it cleaned it up a bit but I got a Chinese one on order 2nd week of lockdown and it's arrived. I've soaked it in acf 50 and let it dry overnight . resprayed the rad guard and fitted it all . I will get the honda one re cord in time then I have a spare. the Chinese one looks ok quality wise fitted perfectly so if it lasts a couple of years I'm happy really .
I can not belive how much of a mess the old one is even with a guard on . I might get a fender extender like the 40 year old I am now. still not happy with how shes running though . fans not kicking in till 110.
110 does seem a bit high, not much though...mine used to come on around 104/106. I think I remember people on here recommending a certain type of coolant but cant find nor remember it's name
