I'm loving it even the looks are growing on me.... can picture it with all the clutter off, mirrors, indicators, numberplate hanger and a good looking Yoshi pipe
What I find strange is they've moved away from integrated indicators in the mirrors / tail unit - makes it look more cluttered in my eyes. Guess in a few months / weeks BIKE magazine / MCN will have all the 2017 Superbikes in Southern Spain / France on real roads giving their verdicts.
Nah, don't like the look of Suzuki jackets, too chavy. Only joking, I think MCN are doing a test now as see on Twatter that they are at Rockingham with a S1000rr and a R1M in the picture, so guess they will have the other 1000cc contenders too.
Was talking to the local suzuki dealers last week & they're putting Yoshis straight on them as they have with the 600's already on display in there. I think they know that no one in their right mind will leave the stock on it!
Took it for a test today. Definitely got more low down power than the Blade. Pretty much a 5-6 gear twist and go. I was following some dude going slowly and did the quick pass - looked down at the gear selector and it was in 5th gear - loads of shove from slow. In that regard better than the Blade IMHO. Seat is very grippy - can't slide around like on the Blade. Everything was new, so the brakes felt soft. The dash seemed a bit low, and the mirrors, like you are looking down at everything more - I am sure you get used to all that. For sure it seemed like a bike you could live with every day - like the Blade. Getting back on the trusty Fireblade still felt better overall because it is such a good road bike. Also rode the R1 - certainly could not live with that ! immense power but does not seem to like traffic and ordinary stuff like that. The GSXR seemed happy enough doing all that. For sure I would get one. Picture taken on the non-exhaust side !
I can see a blade like mine in the back ground HRC think I'll be keeping it 8k to change is the deal breaker ...will have a go on one just to see what is like...
Have a go, see what you think. Sounds like a lot of extra cash to make the change. The Blade in the background is mine, in HRC colours like yours. Everyone turned up to try the new Gixer - even an R1M dude, also parked in the background. Certainly nothing wrong with the Blade at all, even looks okay still. Mine is less than two years old and is well looked after - it was no hardship at all to get back on it and ride home. Do like the extra things though, like Traction Control and the low range power.
