Got this today new zero gravity leather seat, ordered it at the show ! Yes I thought it was never coming, it was ordered through performance parts who source it from the states. With the original blade seat I was sliding all over the place, with this one because its leather where ever you put your bum it stays. Good quality being leather, and feels very comfortable, went for a two hour spin today and it was great. Strange not moving on the seat now, I had got used to slipping around.

Thanks, that seems fairly reasonable(ish), I wonder how much they are normally - I'll go and have a look.

That looks a result, shipmate. Is the fit good? What do they say to treat it with to keep it waterproof?

Yes it is a good fit, they didn't mention what to treat it with, I think I'll use some sort of clear leather wax/polish

Be careful what you use on the leather. I cleaned and treated my leathers with Nikwax - first time I put the brakes on I slid up the tank. I might have well coated it with silicone grease!! I ended up removing the Nikwax with detergent foam (found a tip in google). I use some evil smelling stuff now my mate uses on his boots and leather called Gliptone liquid leather. It's really good stuff and doesn't make the leather slippy.

One would assume any material used for a seat cover should be waterproof with no or very little maintenance?

    I got one of these

    Honda CBR1000RR 08-11 Comfort Seat E-Cushion
    Model: 08F82MFL800
    Manufactured by: Honda

Very comfy. waterproof and it has a more slip resistant cover than the original

I got it for £120 brand new and boxed from a dealer in Yorkshire who were clearing out their stockroom

You can see the back of the seat in this picture, has 'CBR' logo on it as well
Although it says 2008 - 11, it is the same seat and will fit the 2012 - 13

    Can't recommend it enough
