Hi guys n girls Just joined the site and wanted to get as much info on the new Fireblade and not just from what the bike mags say! Currently riding my trusty old gsxr1000 k2, which is getting on a bit now, many track days, quickshifter, slipper clutch ,had since new and previously had blackbird and 3 VFR's, yes even the original version VRF, from new, than Ron Haslam rode in the wet in the transatlantic challenge , many many years ago....Silver hair now and would like a bike that wont go wrong with all electronic bits on it and one i can tinker with. Blade seems to be that bike and would fancy the new Repsol with a complete r77 system and power commander plus a few other bits, racetec tyres . I take it that the blade is not that slow in the fast group on track days , if you read what the bike mags say!!!!!!!
Welcome to the forum Paul, you really can't go wrong with a blade. Had mine 2 years, toured, track day and weekend blats and it's been faultless. Love it
My day job is driving airbus a319/320's around europe.....just a big bus with a few more buttons etc....... I guess older boys with bigger toys and all that!! I have a bit of digging to do regarding which bits to put on the new bike and this forum seems a nice place to have a good old chat about these items. Quality rather than quantity for me with my greying hair, no kids , 2 cats, been there and done all that cheaper stuff a long time ago!!!!!
Well you had everyone stumped on that one. Are there any decent roads on Jersey to stretch a Fireblade ?
Ummmmm NO!!!! 40mph speed limit Is the answer to that one. No limits , the Uk trackday company get a lot of my money, normally the European days. Surprisingly the roads here are quite good for the occasional blast NB This was at Le Mans 2012 and taken by a good mate of mine, sorry yes I know that its not a fireblade.... but the old girl still goes well
Interesting Job Paul, my mates currently flying some large front engine 10 seater in Indo at the moment. loves it. Anyone else thinking groups discount on flights lol
As they say...you pays your money.....and No its NOT Ryanair. Are they that bad? Never paid to fly with them.
