Hi Colin. Welcome to the forum. Get some pictures of the bike up and tell us a bit about yourself, mate. Cheers Ken
Thanks for the welcome Guys. I live just south of glasgow I bought my bike from new early 2010 Only been riding for 3 years so decided to buy the ABS model just for a small factor of safety. For me the next best thing to riding bikes is tinkering with them & modding them.
Right here goes. I'll try n get some pics in. Only got some of the bike the day I got the bike, on my computer. The rest are on my phone at the moment.
welcome mate looks very tidy indeed. and I've removed your deleted posts from the thread so it's nice and clean Again welcome and hope you enjoy the forum
That is stunning mate.. Same as mine - ABS Be sure to join my Black & gold group http://1000rr.co.uk/groups/black-gold-club.htm
Thanks for that Remal. Took me a couple of attempts but got there in the end. Those pics were taken early on. I'll get some more upto date ones sent asap. Thanks for the invite Dan I've joined. What do you think of the yoshi mate? I'm torn between that and the akra.
I love it mate . I was looking for all carbon but had a bargain on the steel with carbon end cap and it matches the frame great . I like the Akro also but it doesn't come with a panel to hide the link pipes . You can get other ones to fit but the Yoshi is the easiest solution .. Sounds amazing and you get a huge power increase of the mark when you de cat the bike .
Yup I agree. Dont quite understand why the akra doesnt come with 1. Dont really like the messy pipework showing. I'll get 1 with the link pipe & get it properly set up on the dyno. Was thinking of getting the road version though so as its not too loud.
I went for not to loud at first and ran the baffle in with a Scorpion slip-on with collector box / sorts cat and it sounded nice but didn't have nothing on the full open Yoshi.. Loud pipes save lives !!
Is there no a road version that has a removeable baffle and link pipe? Sureley there wouldnt b too much of a power drop compared to the race version.
Thanks I see ur a bit of an engineer mate. I'm much of the same. Love makin bits n pieces in my spare time. Even handier when there's a CNC machine there to play with.
