Hey lads, Ive been thinking about upgrading the mirrors on my 06, does the mirrors from a newer blade fit or even mirrors off a different bike ? Thanks
I too had that thought and my mate has done it , he even did a " How to do" step by step with pics , however I,m not too sure I want to go down that route having heared and seen pics of what happens when the later mirrors get a slight knock ! From what I,ve seen they appear to be a tad fragile and won't take kindly to the occasional nudge,tap or even when folding inwards.....mind you...... that's just the Honda ones, can't comment about ZX10 or other mirrors that peeps do. If you do fit them you,ll need to make a spacer to lift them off the fairing to allow for the bottom faced ball socket .....or so it seems?. Another issue is the cost......eBay prices for each mirror is about £50-100 and seems everyone wants them which bumps the price up, now it could be that peeps want to modify their bikes like you but I kinda think it's because they,re fragile and peeps just want to replace their broken ones
Thanks Haggler, my mate has a 13 plate Repsol, it had the mirrors with the 3 white led's, thought it looked sexy. I thinks its something im going to look in to.
