I have a traxxas 2.5HP 4x4 that i've had sat in the loft for about 5-7 years. it was put away with batteries out, WD40 in all the right places

I got it out thinking of taking it apart, cleaning then having a go.

I still got the glow plug started ( may need a new battery) and get some fuel

Any tips from anyone who is into this. i've not been just wanted one a few years ago

by the by I have a traxxas sportmaxx 2.5 with 4x4 upgrade and some metal frame upgrades. they don't brake as well as the plastic as doing some 30-40MPH is not easy to control

So any tips on getting it back on the road?

The engine or the whole car?
Just make sure the engine turns freely, maybe pop some lube in the cylinder down the glow plug hole before you fire it up.

I got a Schumacher Nitro touring car, these buggers have a 3 speed centrifugal gearbox. I got a speedo on mine and it hits 80 :-0

as said just check the engine runs free,
funny enough I sold my car not so long ago.
    I had a gt3 4wd one, had upgraded everything......
then I threw it in a drawer with an electric heli
and never looked at it again :S

Right so main thing is the engine is free. Just need to get time and the spares and I'll give it a go. Thinking fun with the go pro at sme point
