Hey guys Just wondering if anyone has any experience with nitron shocks before? I am looking at buying the sport shock (cheapest variant) for my trackbike. They can be setup new to my weight which I like. Cheers
I got myself a Nitron Pro Race jobbie from ebay back in June and it has been spot on so far. It probably isn't ultimately as good as a K-Tech or Ohlins, but for the first few years of racing, I reckon that it will be spot on. get it set up right and it will transform the R6.
Youre a legend wedge. Rob- ive contacted the guy about the rear shock it has a 105 spring which is way too stiff for my weight
Yup I've got the Pro Race , Nitron say their shocks are hand built (unlike some other top names) and with the pro race are better than ohlins Dunno if its true but I'm really happy with mine
Starting bid is 300. Nitro pro race shock is very expensive. Im only looking at the sport shock, which is 370.
Don't rush into it yet, it is worth hanging on and seeing what crops up on ebay etc. I think that the sport shock may struggle after time. I don't know, I could be wrong, but I would say that the level of adjustment isn't quite there. Have a chat with James at Infront motorcycles 07810 300 127, who will be able to advise.
Yeah there's no image attached with that rob, looked on google and can't see any reviews at all on their shocks
Fox have a good reputation in the MX and MTB world, so know their stuff, but do agree that they are a bit of an unknown in road racing. May be worth giving them a bell though.
Some guys on the motoforum are suggesting revalving and springing the standard rear shock? Any experience with this?
All I can say is that when I got my new R6, it had a standard shock that had been re-worked by K-Tech. I had also go the Nitron shock and asked the suspension guys (James @ infront) which he thought would be better and he advised that the Nitron. I sold the re-worked shock for £78 on motoforum in August. How much do K-Tech charge?
