Tim blakemore local to me, about 2 mins away does this Tim Blakemore Racing Nitrous Oxide Installations i'm going to at some point get Tim to set up my bike and get either a Bazzaz or PC fitted to my blade. But anyone know of anyone who has fitted NOS to a blade :becky: I was looking at Supercharging my 1050cc triple a year or so back. OK the blade had loads of power But how fun would NOS be? :man_in_love: Whats peoples thoughts of adding NOS, Turbo's or Supercharge a bike? I know that out of the latter Supercharging is the better option
In a word mate , DON'T . You have the best bike on the road. If you add nitrous, it will kill you or the engine. A turbo wiill do summat similar and a blower will give you nothing but grief. Do you know anybody who uses these things on a road bike that they ride all the time? every day? No , coz they cost an arm and a leg to buy and install and they ALWAYS give trouble. You don't need the extra power, stay well away. My experience is mainly from talkin to drag racers that sudenly find that their pistons have melted ot their con rods have said "WOW the sun's out". If you have money to burn, get yerself a solid fuel burner to get some benefit from supercharging!
The engine won't last long either . Do you honestly need more power ? My bike scares me every time i ride it as it is lol
I was more just thinking about it. not doing it. as I said I was looking at it for the Triple. But the blade had loads more power and a great bike. Just would be a giggle ?
jesus - no way. Bikes are quick enough as it is lol. Surely there would be stability issues with that kind of power ?
No iv seen a few Nitro Bikes . There was a bandit in the last show i went to with 3 huge Nos bottles attached to the back . He said he can power wheely in every gear and keep it up in top gear for miles lol
i,m also on another forum for zx12/14 and busa owners as i ran a zx12 for 4 years and some of those guys are into that in a big way but mainly for sprint racing etc. if you were serious big cc racng are the guys to chat with they been in the game for years and come well recommended. isnt something i,d fancy but then my latest blade feels as powerful as my old zx12 did but i can just corner/stop better!!
