looks like top step of the podium then mate is minimum expectation! no pressure then....

tbh, they look like real slow times? what do the club boys do?

edit - think it must have been a wet qualifier!? race times are a little quicker... 1.49 best lap of winner.

1:52 / 1:53 is right up there though mate :)

At 1.52 you should do well Jason, so give it your best shot. It is surprising at some of the times that people do run at around there. I think the slowest dry lap people were doing there was 2.16, with the quickest being 1.44 on the 600s.

This is why I chose no limits Racing to get a feel for racing as you said 30 + seconds divides the fastest /slowest .If I enjoy Racing next year and can find time as its mostly 2 days events at weekends next year so might stuggle with work .I would then look at club Racing but will see how I get on.

Club Racing around oulton I would say 1.45 kind of times think Scooby had done 1.48 so a big difference in times .

Not huge differences but at that level 3/4 secs is a BIG diff no doubt. but like you say, good spread of times so plenty to race against!

23 bikes on the grid isnt too shabby either ;)

The main thing is that you are going out there to do it Jason. I would say don't get to worried about times to start with, but I know from experience that the first thing you do when you finish a race is get a results sheet and look at your times. You either come away smiling or annoyed. However, again I have learned that even a slow time is still faster than those sitting on the sofa talking about it and at the end of the day, times will drop with tracktime and experience. Just remember, it isn't a race. Oh, hang on........

Still no dates for races on the site... but they have put up the ACU dates:

    Saturday 15th February Cadwell Park
    Sunday 16th February Brands Hatch
    Sunday 23rd February Snetterton
    Thursday 27th February Donington Park
    Thursday 6th March Brands Hatch

I think we all like to do well at things and for me if I had been last and no chance of getting mid group I personally would of found it hard to motivate myself , but if I can run mid group and maybe better then that would do me to start with for my first years Racing as I know its a young mans game mostly .

Hopefully find out this week dates etc .

Oh and it not been a race Robin me and YT would disagree on that after our last time at oulton together doing a track day .:D. So god help me when I race I wil crap myself .

Jason I find those times hard to believe! That would put me and you on the front row from every lap we did last time, obviously not the one I crashed on, even our wet time was that! LOL

Never too old! Mike who races with me is 66. All about mental age if you ask me. Currently I am struggling to reach 15.

48? phaa 47.3 dear boy ;) (optimum 46 but hard to get a clear lap on a t/day)

you need to make sure you look at weather though jase, pretty sure that was a wet/damp day.

    The solo/endurance 1000cc says

    Weather / Track : Cloudy/Dry
Results can be found at www.tsl-timing.com

even in wet conditions still some slow times for me it just gives me an idea of what to expect and I have done 2 min round there in wet / damp with YT the other week so shouldn't be to far of the pace based on those times.I am not expecting to get a podium but its good to know I should be alble to mix it up mid group .

Can't wait to have a crack at it just need to find myself an umbrella girl for the start .:D
