No Limits are really starting to piss me off if i don't mind saying so.. I went to their office in December to pay for and fill all the forms required to take part in their racing season this year. Whilst there they took my photo and explained everything, they said that in the next few days i would receive my racing pack which is needed for doing the ACU course.. Since then i have received 5 emails telling me that i haven't filled in their forms and 5 times I've phoned them explaining that i had. Each time they have confirmed that they do in fact have my forms and apologised, claiming that they will post my racing pack out the following morning. So when i get the 5th email today saying they haven't yet received my forms or photo i got a little pissed, i came very close to telling them they could stick their race season... They have also left it till today to advise that the ACU course has now changed, it will now be done in the afternoon instead of the morning. Also they left it till the day before Oulton to tell us their was no camping... Im beginning to think i should have gone with Hottrax
I have had similar problems especially when it came to keeping my same race number (that's a long story and turned in to a joke to be honest on NL behalf .) also membership as well like you sending emails and them saying not got them. Hottrax don't do many Trackdays and No limits are the best TDO (imo)but do seem to struggle in the office side of things but I guess it's very busy this time of year with the racing and TD,s so mistakes do happen (a lot in your case) I think the thing to do Matt is deal with one person get name and there email and then call them once you emailed them frustrating I know
I agree Jase, they seem to be very good as a TDO but not so good on the other stuff. I noticed Hottrax had reserved garages at Oulton the other week for those doing the acu course, i spoke to NL about this and they say there will be no garages reserved for those doing the course.. Anyway I've had to book a separate track day for Friday so that i can get there early and get a garage, also so that i can get out in the morning and learn the track a little...
You will love Donny the moment you come round the corner looking down at Craners you will be buzzing and Silverstone will be a distant memory . What circuit you doing at Donny ? You know you can't get in to Donny garages until the morning of the trackday . Yeah will try and save you garage space what time you thinking ?
Looking forward to riding there Jase, after watching hours of on board footage I've come to the conclusion that i will absolutely love the place, as for what circuit?? I don't know mate, the black tarmac one, how many do they have?? Not sure what time i will get to Oulton, course starts at 12noon and would imagine finishes at about 4pm but will phone as I'm leaving so make sure you take your phone on track, just pull over in one of the gravel traps if you hear it ring, will be me
You don't need the membership pack before the ACU course. I filled out the forms on the course and they also send the ACU forms off aswell. My membership pack turned up today. Not a lot in it to be honest. I've sent you a PM before I saw this tread.
craner soon sorts out how much font end confidence/feel you have, when you get the section right, through the old hairpin and up through schwantz+mcleans it's one of the best stretches of track around. just be carefull at coppice, blind entry, off camber a bit so catches a few out, highside city.as is Melbourne loop exit.
This is what pisses me off about their organisational skills James, the email they sent says i need it, when i phone them they weren't sure if i needed it, I'm expecting them to tell me next that my number isn't available anymore...
Now that'll piss me off if I have to change my number. I hate sticking them on. I can never get them straight! Don't waste your time ringing them Matt. As long as you do the course it'll be all good! Plus you can join any club. I'm going see how I get on at Snetterton then join EMRA.
I have thought about doing a year with NL, but then keep thinking it is nice to pick and chose the circuits I race on throughout the year. NG road racing are a great club as they do all the major circuits, but this year I am sticking to Wirral 100, Tonfanau Road Racing, Aintree Road Racing and Darley Moor, with the Southern 100 thrown in for luck.
I think No Limits are the best TDO but I can`t see what makes it so hard with the ACU. I did my ACU course with Hottrax but don`t plan to race with them but it was no hassle and my race license was with me within a week!
Email them explaining why you're upset. In their defence applications for racing this year have gone through the roof and they are still fairly new to it. I can understand your frustrations though.
