As some of you may know, I started racing back in 2013 and have been having the time of my life doing so on my R6. I have wanted to do proper road racing for some time, a kind of itch I need to scratch sort of thing. A lad I race with did the Southern 100 in the Isle of Man last year and loved it, so I thought I should give it a go too this coming year. So, the long and short of it is, that I have today booked a place on the ferry for my van and caravan, from Liverpool to the Isle of Man to complete at the Southern 100 meet. God knows what I have let myself in for, but I am kind of excited and nervous all at the same time! More updates to follow!!
Brilliant Robin me personally not brave enough to road race but look forward to following your progress over there.
I have no idea if I have what it takes yet, but there is only one way to find out! Hopefully it will all work out and be the start of something.
All yet best mate .. My heart is in the roads more than circuit racing .. I wish I had balls big enough but I don't! Looking forward to watching you mate and may see you there.. One of the best rounds of the year is the Southern. Very very underrated.. Cookstown is one of my favourites .. Safe fast ride chief
Wow, can't believe all the support! Many thanks indeed guys, means a lot. I would like to have done the Manx, but the costs are just silly. A mate did it last year and it cost him about £4,000 for the fortnight. Thanks again and I will keep this updated as and when things happen.
At least if you try it you will have full filled your dream enjoy and most of all be safe ride to your limit not others Al the best rob
Yeah.... But what a fortnight. 100 a great stepping stone though. Living the dream mate, keep us updated with progress please. Ill be keeping a keen eye on this mate.
