So, today am sitting having a bit of peace, and continuing to build a Tornado air fix model. When I hear this bike revving like blazes. Right noisy too. At first I thought it was a trail bike out the bike, as has happened on the odd occasion. But this noise came from the front. Revving more and more. I open the front door and am greeted by my mate on this. Thinking he had it on a test ride, as he has always had his immaculate R1 from new. But no, he has only gone and bought it. Came from down south. Full of bling too. Quick shifter, power commander, all Ohlins and Brembos. Awesome machine. Has kept his R1 too, but no room in his garage, so he has the RSV4 in his dining room. Only popped down the hill to show me it, as he didn't want to take it a spin on the salty roads up here. Lovely bike tho.
Yeh he is looking into that. However the standard can still sounds awesome. Told him he should enter his R1 into the classic bike show now.
Lovely bikes but too temperamental and parts supply is still diabolical even now ... As a sunny day bike that's fine but I need reliability hence stuck with jap... Oh and they drink fuel like no tomorrow
Hey did say the likelihood is that he would get 80 miles out a tank. Only slightly more than a Desmo that.
bikes are looking great,my mate had an rsv great bike but as you say was v thirsty! he took it back to dealer as there was a chip upgrade ie they plugged it in for a half hour and it was prob about between 10 and 20 % better and made no difference on performance in his opinion may be worth enquiring if his has been done?
Should hear one with an Austin racing on - it's biblical lol I'd love one.... Would tempt me back to a sports bike on the road.
Andy (aka RC8 man) on the forum has one with the Austin.. holy shit I nearly peed my pants when he first starts it up with a gentle rev Just one word.....awesome!
