This route will give you a mixture of everything - its a very long route, maybe 350 - 400 miles but with an early start its a great day.

Drink plenty of water (not just tea / coffee) - its quite an easy route to follow

    Sunday Epic Route to Scotland

Take a decent camera and budget on 2.5 tanks of fuel for the loop - but with no hotel / food / beer costs its cheaper than doing it in 2 days, but is a long route - Consider joining M6 at Kendal to shorten day if needed.

    Looks/sounds good to me Alan.
Have you a date in mind to do it all again?

Erm.. Sunday just gone lol - I'm not sure I'd do it again for a while - but there are ways to shorten it / speed it up. Think A6 to Penrith from Kendal Would be best idea on way up then Hartside and on. Just needs an early start - that's all
