There's an extremely active membership in the north west Bardo but no specific group set up as yet. Feel free to start one up. Have a look at the members map and have a go at recruiting those in range.
here are a couple of our ride out threads from this year and im sure there will be more to come next year http://1000rr.co.uk/events-meetings-ride-outs/5689.htm http://1000rr.co.uk/events-meetings-ride-outs/5487.htm
Howdy Bardo, as Kpone says we're quite active up here. At least three rideouts to Wales this year, two up to Hawes/Alston , a curry night planned for the end of November and a trip out to see the illuminations. Next year there's a trip planned for Scotland and one to the Pyrenees although these are open to all members of the forum. There's no planned meeting as such but if someone fancies a trip or rideout they put up the post and wait to see who's interested.
Hi bardo 1962. I think thefirebloke sums it up quite nicely. Regarding a group for northwest rides meets etc, what Ken said is true, we don't have one at present. I mentioned it last year, but the general feeing was if we had our own groups areas etc people would not look at them or may miss something because its not in "their area" Anyway, we are always on the look out for new rides out meeting points etc, The general rule of thumb to remember when offering to sort/organise something is you can't please everyone with dates routes etc so if you have an idea stick with it, and let the people decide if its for them or not? Fez has kindly stuck a couple of links to some of this years meets etc ill try and find some more. Our last run to Wales http://1000rr.co.uk/events-meetings-ride-outs/6816.htm Bats and my IOM trip, not strictly a forum run, but food for thought another time? hope all the pics are still available? http://1000rr.co.uk/touring/4441.htm Blackpool meet, not many members but enjoyable http://1000rr.co.uk/events-meetings-ride-outs/7039.htm Hope that gives you an insight as what we get upto?
If anyone from North Of England tourism board is looking in? I think Dave just meant to say is it only rains in Hawes on a day with a Y in it
Hi Bardo thanks for asking .As the guys have explained we had a few rideouts and although there is a strong homosexual element within the group (except me) they seem to get on very well .(To well) for my liking! Anyway there are 2 spots still to fill for the Northwest Curry night and as most of the Warrington and Cheshire set have avoided us ,you would be more than welcome to join us just add your name to the thread .
If the weather is OK tomorrow I'll be having a ride over to Devils bridge, so if you fancy a brew I'll be there around mid day.
Theres a point but also where is Gary that went to the ring or Lewis from Altrincham i think it must be you Steve (Once bitten) ??
