Morning everyone. Following on from the North West rideout and the Yorks / Lincs rideout I'd like to propose something for us North Easterners as, at this time of year at least, the other two rides are a little bit too far to travel. Suggestion maybe to meetup somewhere in Teesside and then head up the pennines to Hartside on Sunday?? Let us know if anyone's interested.
Would love to make this, but always struggle on Sundays, no probs on a Saturday as the mrs works And just got this last week so desp to get some miles in
How's about we meet at Teesside Park at 10? That way we can go straight down the A66 to Darlington and then on to Barnard Castle and up to Middleton in Teesdale etc?
Should get us up to Hartside for 11:30 and the we can head back down the other way through the Durham Dales. If you want to make it a bit later, Fez, just let me know. Obviously you've got to get there from Whitby.
Yeh thats fine with me. Which shop used to be comet ? Is it now staples ? Never been down the other side so that will be nice to see what its like
Not sure if it'll be open but we can take a small detour and go to Tesco. It's kinda on the way and they sell super.
Have you seen the forecast for tomorrow, its really not good for hartside. Are you still wanting to go or do you fancy a run around the east coast somewhere as its going to stay nice and dry we could have a lap around the national park, meet near nunthorpe and head to stokesley and then take the tt to thirsk, then helmsley, pickering, scarborough, whitby, or you meet me in whitby and do it in reverse
Never mind that, mate. I've just been out to the garage to give the bike a kick over and my front tyre is flat as a pancake. I've pumped it up but I'm not confident that it'll stay up if it's gone all the way down like that.
Will do, mate. I've set my alarm for early doors. If it's holding pressure then we're good. If not I'll let you know ASAP. I've had it up on the headstock stand and had a good look at it and can't see anything wrong with it. No nails or anything.
hopefully just something like a loose dust cap then, fingers crosed, if everything is ok are you still wanting to go to hartside or the rpute i posted above ?
Guess we'll check the weather in the morning. If it's crap on the pennines then the route you posted would be good. No sense riding into the rain for the sake of it.
