Just dreaming at the moment, but thinking about how much time the bike is laid up over winter, due to weather. It got me thinking that we really should make more effort to get out this spring /Summer and yes dudes have holidays but with the choice of A run up to Hawes with the firebloke leading the posse to see young Fez and Ash and the Crew, and then a Run to see Dan and let him take us around his area and cafes.Then we have North Wales With Lee and Andy taking control and further down the trail towards cross gates and beyond with Si and Lee leading us to the promise land it would be hard not to miss there is also the A49 towards Monmouth where we could meet up with the Midlands crew ......So although its not great at the moment how about some routes being put up now for discussion and maybe some proposed dates ?
Hoping to get more use out of mine this season Giv, evening ride outs and my weekends I have free, thefirebloke and I was discussing this very thing on our return on Sunday after our breakfast. For ourselves Hawes and even Hartside Is more than doable in an evenings ride so long as that's what you do, rather than sit around posing in some car park. Oh, and the practice will do me good too
yep the run to hawes is well doable. done it a few times in summer have to get some chippy runs going say wed nites set of around 6 get some were for say 8 have a chippy tea home for 10ish
In the Summer I normally have a run up to Hawes on a midweek evening at least once a week. Usually go on my own but if anybody fancies tagging along this year they'd be more than welcome. The chips at Hawes are legendary! Also if you come you're very likely to bump into Garyb 'cos I'm putting him on a training schedule so I don't lose him in Spain
Steve, can you put me on a training schedule too please dude? im up for any rideout, if its on the bike, then it's a yes from me if I'm available/not on holiday/ not working.. Apparently, we are in for a scorcher of a summer..bring it on.... We may even visit Kenneth daaarn saaaf for some scones and tea.
I know its early but it would be nice to keep this thread going so how about say GaryB /The firebloke put us up a little night run map just as a taster and then perhaps Dan could do the same .Its not going to make Winter into summer but it beats banging on about Flapper valves!
But don't forget the double clotted cream .I think i will go out now and get a piece of straw to chew on.
would like to meet the northern monkeys again Would like to meet ken also , A good idea to meet in the middle somewhere and have a big forum gathering , if not then I'll get out and ride most weekends ( on my own )
perhaps we could have a route/maps stickie in the ride outs and events section, and perhaps on this one it should be locked for members eyes only? Edit, perhaps we could just add it to Remals best roads section. But still locked to members only?
