Fair play to the bloke but i do think 20 seconds faster than the previous lap record is a tad optimistic imo. This is the previous lap record holder on the ZX-10r and its mental http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGsTcmLG7dU&feature=related Whats the score with this chap then, is he racing in the TT Same model as yours Jimbo?
So it is.... It's the slightly slower colour though lol Be a bold move to claim it if it ain't true??
lol i didnt see the vid at the bottom awesome and a top effort. I reckon its a 2004-2006 model mate the front fairing air scoops are not right for the later R1
and is it just me or has he got a wavy disc on the nearside of the bike and standard (looking) on the offside............ prob just me seeing things again lol
I have a mate who lives right next to the Ring and he's good friends with Andy and a couple of the other ex-pat bikers out there who have, at various times, owned the bike lap record. When I was looking for a 1000cc my mate posed the question to them as to which 2004 / 2005 bike I should buy and they said something along the lines of, "Buy the R1, perhaps the GSXR.....or maybe even the ZX10R if you like it really mental, but don't buy the Blade. It's boring" Then they found out that this was my first 1000cc and that I wasn't going to be trackdaying the crap out of it and said, "Hmmmm, maybe buy the Blade then"
Looked again - and yep it's a 2004 - 2006... I just got all excited and went straight to the video ha ha
Its a mate of a chap I talk to on ISC:- http://www.italiansportsbikeclub.com/for-anyone-thats-tried-to-lap-the-nurburgring_topic9344.html Heres the link:- Watch the new fastest motorcycle lap of the 'ring. 7m10s BTG. Good Add for BST wheels and Nitron
Is this the same Andy Carlile who posted a 7 min. 17 sec. bridge to gantry on a GSXR 600 for Fast Bike magazine 2009ish ?
