Fireblade 954 would not start tonight on homeward journey from work , Bumped off down the hill, started first time. But wasn't firing on all cylinders all the way home. Any ideas Please
Damp or fouled spark plug, wouldn't expect the battery to affect cylinders..... Try spraying ht leads with wd40 and changing your plugs Good luck
My guess would be the plugs as well, the batterij would have nothing to do with the miss firing, but could have something to do with the starting problem. But my guess would be that the starting problem has something to do with the miss firing check the plugs of wiring around the plugs and take it from there
I'd vote for plugs too. Never had them foul on my 954 but on the Ducati it was surprising how quickly they'd drown and never clear themselves.
Thanks for all the replies, I had the same problem when I bought the bike 3 yrs ago. I changed the plugs & all was hunky dory. Apart from today battery seemed fine, but bike weathers out, and last night it dropped A few degrees, in fact I was rather bitter. Having a CAT1 alarm also takes it toll. The main problem I had was getting the wife to understand - hence the reason for the question, and my elation that so many people have come up with the same fault. Many thanks again
