The ride in this morning was the first propper chilly one I've noticed and I think it's about time to get some winter gloves. I spent the last 2 years defrosting my hands with a cuppa when I get to work as the RST Razor gloves that I've got aren't particularly good during these colder months. So, does anyone have a particular winter glove that they favour, or do we go with some glove liners? I know that silk ones are nice and warm, but do they manage to keep the biting wind out? Any and all ideas are appreciated (but no - I'm not planning on getting heated grips). Cheers
When it's really cold I will wear my crab claw gloves... Look lame, but they are the best ones I have had for cold protection... And can easily fit inners if required... I have ones like these, but not Hein Gericke... I have Spada or something like that... Hein Gericke Winter Motorcycle Gloves Sheltex Waterproof Membrane | eBay
I'm wearing these at the moment. If it's freezing, I sometimes wear silk liners too. Halvarssons Beryl glove black
I've settled on Astars Polar gloves for proper cold weather, as they've easily been the warmest I've tried to date: They're a bit like having gorilla hands when you've got them on, but they do the job!
Hi, I bought these winter gloves 2 years ago and they have been awesome for winter riding. I was riding at minus 10 last winter and whilst still painful at dual carriageway speeds they are the best i've had. Never let in any water either. Tuzo TZG-5 - Gloves - Touring - Kit - Visordown To top it all off, just £29.99! I'm not a skinflint when it come to bike and gear but seriously i'll be buying these again when/if they eventually wear out.
Thanks everyone. I've looked at £30 ones on e-bay before but never been sure if I could trust them. I may have a pop and see how I get on.
Heated grips £24.99 cant go wrong, keep wearing the razors.. New 12v Heated Motorcycle Handlebar Hot Grip Kit Pair of 7/8 Black Grips | eBay Also i have a pair of these but not yet tried them as the heated grips work so well. RICHA SUMMIT THERMAL WINTER MOTORCYCLE GLOVES BLUE XL | eBay
Have you looked at hein gericke gortex they get very good reviews. Silk liners sound interesting anyone got a link, might invest in a pair.
Alpinestars Jet Road goretex. Bought these for last winter and rate them, just need to go 1 size up if your gonna also wear a liner if it gets too cold, but they are great gloves anyway.
I got alpine stars winter ones but I find it helps most if you use some motorbike hand muff's to keep the wind off
Visordown are having a co-buy on these with the price possibly as low as £70, which is a proper bargain: BuyaPowa - Alpinestars Jet Road Gore-Tex Gloves I've got a pair and they are excellent although I did have an issue with the zip on the first pair I got but Astars Italia replaced them F.O.C. even though I bought them at a bike show.
I have bought a pair of Keis electric inner gloves...they are brilliant, no complex wiring and can be worn under summer gloves or winter gloves for extra warmth. I would recco them
