A real shame for the owner, hopefully others can help keep him racing the weekend. I think Bongo is at the same race meeting.

I've very nearly witnessed the same. Standing on the pit wall at Almeria looking back into the garages my mates front wheel started smoking.

Cue major panic and shouting. I grabbed the power while my mate ripped off the tyre warmer. Too late to save the brand new tyre which had a zig zag burn in it about 5mm deep following the element but at least the bike was ok.

    They were biketek too.

Yeah you were there mate, you and a few other sbf peeps.

Think this is from that year. Paul in red & black had the tyre warmer burn out. I would have said with the black gixer but that wouldn't of helped much !

Was that the same year Damo launched his brand new bike into hyperspace ?

Should have read the small print, they're described as 'Bike Warmers'.

Seriously though, gutting for the poor bloke.
