I guess these do 2 things: keep the heater circuit functional (to avoid engine check light) and provide a fixed A/F mixture value to the ECU.

The fixed A/F will no longer allow the ECU to change it. So my question for those who have fitted this is:

Is it plug & play or plg and pray?
Have you noticed and change in performance or mpg (good or bad)?

PS road use only and with no engine tuning or power commander

Yep its plug and play, you will probably see a slight rise of MPG as the ECU wont lean out especially in constant throttle conditions.
The bike will probably run smoother and be less snatchy

What year is your bike? I don't think this works from 2017 due to anti tampering code in the ECU. You would need a Woolich reflash or Rapidbike Evo to defeat it.

Not on my CBR but CB1000R, I removed the cat and deactivated the O2, ran it like that for about 6 months and it ran just fine.
It was a slippery slope a mountain of mods though, ie full Dynojet back catalogue of PCV, Autotune, POD200 Leo Vince, pair delete etc etc etc!
