Does anyone know where I can buy the male and female plugs for the Exhaust Servo?

I want to make myself an eletronic gizmo (similar to servo buddy) that sits between the ECU and the Servo that lets me have have the exhaust flapper Open, Closed or running from the ECU.

But I don't want to cut into the wiring loom; and sticking something in between the OEM plugs seems the right way to go.

Another question popped into my head: are the servo plugs compatible with any of the other plugs on the loom? I don't mind getting a full wiring harness and chopping it up to get the bits I need.

I'm not really sure what you are trying to achieve tbh. Not sure why you would want the option for open/closed etc.

Most just remove the servo and fit a servo buddy or chop the plug off the servo to make your own servo buddy.

Thanks to Scott I have a spare OEM Servo I can practice with!

Current plan is to get a servo buddy to make the ECU happy, then connect the servo to an arduino or a 555 chip to open and close the flapper with a switch, then I just need to worry about powering it, preferably from the ignition +V.

This is what's inside the exhaust flapper servo; nothing fancy just a DC brushed motor and a 5k pot (connected with a gearbox), looks like the controller is on the ECU.

Edit: The plug looks like Sumitomo HV .040 6 pin Connector to me.

Why don't you make some servo buddies :)

I'd rather have something tried and tested plugged into the ECU =]

Controlling a DC motor though isn't complicated - Bi Directional DC Motor Circuit L293d

Now all I need is something to watch the pot and drive the motor until the pot reads a set value.
