Well I managed a whole week back in the country and now off to Finland for a week for work. Just on the Norwegian airways flight to Helsinki and noticed they had free wifi on the plane so thought I'd try it out and yup it works
Well it's all a bit hush hush but a certain very large online company is building the worlds biggest data centre in Finland and my company is fitting it out with all the comms links. I am mostly a network designer and fibre optic specialist and have agreed to come here for a week to help them get things on track for a major milestone. I've realised I don't wanna do too much to help or I could spend a lot of time over here for the next two years. I've been equipped with a very special Corsa 1.2 for my sins thanks to the rental company lol
Data centre?? U mean Amazon is gonna start snooping on us like the american govt aswell?? Oh well if they find any skeletons in me cupboard let me know as i have a boring life
Loads going on out there on the data centres, few of my pals are out there for the construction companies building them at the mo. enjoy fella!
Can't even get on site without visiting the Finnish tax office first!! Just check out speeding fines in Finland it is shocking!!
