As title says should I? Haven't ridden the bike for 10 days due to the shit weather and gonna be away for 3 weeks. Should I remove the battey an leave it on charge? Can't do it on the bike as I don't have power in my garage so would need to bring it inside. (someone will be home so it wont be unattended) ??
If you've got an optimiser or similar Phantom, I'd be tempted to leave well alone then plug it in on your return and let the charger massage it properly back to full. They're usually about a 48 hour cycle tops, and you wont having the worry of the charger running it in the house all the time.
I woildn't bother mate, just leave it. Left my 2011 Blade all winter without an optimate pluged in and it was fine. If the battery plays up after 3 weeks, take it back to the dealer and they will replace it under waranty. So go away, enjoy yourself and forget about the bike!!
As I don't have power to my garage either, over winter I take the battery out & store it indoors & then charge it up as soon as there is some nice weather As it's only 3 weeks, I would just disconnect the terminals.
I have used an Optimate on my Hondas for over 6 years now, standard Honda batteries, and it has caused them and of course me no issues at all, never had a bike not start due to battery problems.
