Finally decided on what to do suspension wise after much back and forth on my decision on what to do. I finally decided to go with the Ohlins front fork piston kit, Ohlins springs, and just to frank it up a bit, I went with K-Tech flow control valves. Reason I went for this setup was purely down to the fact that I wanted to do the tinkering, and K-Tech no longer sell they're kits over the counter, and only let you have it done at a suspension experts. Anyway I will be fitting these over the next week or so, and myself and Craig (Shinysideup) have been asked to do a how to video on this. So that's what we'll do. Anyway enough of my blabbering. Here's a pic for all you pic hoe's.
Nice one - be interested how much difference is makes. I got offered Micheal Dunlops BPF from the bike he raced at the TT last year for £500, said let me think, called back 2 hours later and they had gone.
Would be good for blagging rites, but would probably be setup too hard for our type of riding mate. I did think about the BPF's but decided that even those are still standard parts, and would be best set for my weight.
Colin - these were standard 2013 Big Piston Forks off the bike turned into his race bike (he got posh Ohlins) - I've Got Lucca Scassas 2012 rear shock and Dunlops clock mount bracket anyway!
Ah so just standard forks off of a 2013 bike then. Even with those, standard forks are a compromise because of the range of weights they need to deal with. Don't get me wrong the BPF's are defo and improvement over the 08-11 forks.
