Thinking of getting a fork tune on my SP2 forks. Have got options on Ohlins FPK piston kit, springs & set up OR Ktech 20SSK Piston Kit, springs and set up for very similar money. Anybody got any experience with these psitons kits or could make a recommendation. Front Fork Piston kit (FPK) - Öhlins K-Tech Suspension, road race and offroad motorcyle suspension
Seems your keen on Ktech then Craig, LOL !!!!!! any particular reason ? have you used the 20ssk by any chance ? I always thought Ohlins were the bench mark but have heard good things about Ktech I must admit. Cheers for your help.
Ktec are just better for UK circuits, designed, developed and tested on them so they work, our circuits are a bit too harsh for the ohlins that are generally designed on smooth euro circuits. yes ive used both, i cant recomend kec enough ESPECIALLY for there aftersales & service work after you buy somethings
To be fair, I wouldn't mind having the disposable income to spend on my bike that would afford me the choice between the 2. Ktech baby. As Carl says, they're designed for the bumpy UK circuits, so one would deduce they should also be better on the roads as well.
Great feedback cheers Craig. As I will mainly use the bike on the road I guess the best option is obviously the Ktech 20ssk
