If you would like any oil advice or a recommendation for your bike please feel free to ask here and we will get back to you as soon as we can. To help us to give the most accurate advice possible we do need some information about your bike. e.g. Make: Model: Year: Engine type: Performance modifications: Driving style: (road / off-road / track etc) Any other information that may be relevant: e.g. oil temps if known What recommendation are you looking for? Engine, Gearbox, fork oil etc. Any oil we recommend is available to buy from us (if you would like to) for delivery throughout the UK and many destinations in Europe. We stock oils & lubricants from 9 major oil brands: Amsoil, Castrol, Fuchs, Gulf, Millers, Mobil, Motul, Redline and Silkolene, so we can supply fluids meeting the vast majority of manufacturer and international specifications. Finally, if there are any products we don't stock and you have difficulty getting hold of elsewhere, let us know and we'll see if we can stock them. We look forward to being of help! welcome Guy and glad you got the invite. Always good to have an experienced person on the forum who know their stuff. Why the Smilie Villian,I invited Opie Oils as I have delt with them in the past and they have been very helpful for many forums I am on

Engine, Gearbox, fork oil etc. The Bazzaz ECU and will be on the Dyno in March Looking for recommended engine oil and if semi or fully is recommended and why cheers
The Rollie Eyes was because I thought it was someone using the forum to flog his wares! but if you have invited him its all good. Thinking about it I seem to remember them on the Briskoda I used to frequent er......and I hadn't read the other bit from Opie LOL
Remal, I'd go for a 10w-30 for the engine and gearbox (shared oil) and as it's getting pretty warm, I'd go for a good one. 10w-30 bike engine oil The Amsoil, Silkolene Pro 4 and Castrol Power 1 Racing are the ones to go for. Keep an eye on the temps when you get the ECU fitted, as they might go up a bit and mean that a 10w-40 may be a better option for the engine. I've been through all our databases and can't find what's supposed to be used in the forks. Is there anything in your handbook about the forks? Cheers Tim
08+ fork oil/data SS-47 10W 517 +/- 2.5cm3 each leg.. (Honda Pro suss fluid) air gap 93mm Preload 6. Reb 2 - 1/4. Comp 2 Spring 234.00mm
Thanks for that. I'd go for a good 10w instead 10w medium weight fork oil The Silkolene Pro RSF, Redline or Motul Factory Line are the best ones, but the rest are good cheaper alternatives. Cheers Tim
Not with those temps, I'd go for a full synthetic as a semi will break down quickly at higher temps. Cheers Tim
Or get it when it's on a good offer and store it for when you need it. Here's a link to the offers page. Opie Oils - Oilman Specials and Clearance Cheers Tim
Castrol have a link to your site from their web site which give you credibility to those of us that do not know who you are. However, they also have a link to Halfords and taking carrage into consideration your clearance specials are still more expensive than by online and collect in store at Halfords?
Also take into account your all up weight when buying fork oil, OE stuff is designed for 9 stone dripping wet in gear japanese folk, lets be fair, not many of us are that. Im running Motul factory 7.5 in mine, with 10w springs.
I think Halfords have recently done an offer on the Castrol oils as we normally work out a little cheaper. Depending on where you live, it can still work out cheaper to have it delivered as a trip to Halfords may be out of your way or just inconvenient. If you're buying larger amounts it can also work out cheaper as there is a flat rate for standard shipping. Our main market is the performance stuff, rather than the things that Halfords etc stock. Cheers Tim
Welcome mate. Great to see someone like yourself on here. Always good to know there a good tech guy to fall back on. Though you've got a bit of catching up to do to beat Arthur
