As you all know I have been having a bit of bother with the oil leak. I have started to strip it down and it’s wet over one side of the air intake housing
It looks like it’s came out of the air intake I wondered if the vacuum pipe was feeding it back But surely that would be sucking not blowing
It's obviously settling at the side stand side of the air box , could it be slightly over filled with oil Bazz . Asking for a friend
Unless the oil is on the outside of the airbox seeping in, then my money is on over pressurerised crankcase caused by either too much oil or blow by gases
Take the cam cover off make sure the breather is clear and has the baffle plate is there. I'd also think about using some BG44K and BG109
BG44K is a fuel additive that will clean up the fuel system and combustion chamber. I've used this for years it's fricking amazing, loads easier than taking the carbs off that old bike every time you feel like riding it. BG109 is an oil flush. Had an er6 that was really ringey, burnt oil, stank . Honestly didn't think it could work being a flush how much could it do. But thought I'd give it a go off the back of their fuel additives working so well. Nothing to loose apart from £15. Some times it's pays off having a punt on someone based on your previous experience.
Good..... Hopefully Mr O'Reilly will pick it up on his scrap wagon if you leave it at the end of the street lol
