Oil Level contradiction

Hi All hope your all having a good Christmas break can anyone help..

As far as I know my oil light on the dash should go out when the bike is cold and level, indicating there is enough oil. Mine doesn't go out now although I've only done 400 miles on the bike, it did go out when I first got the bike!
I have checked the oil level on the dip stick (unscrew, clean re-insert up to thread as in the manual), and the oil is at MFL. My bike is sat in my garage on its paddock stands so its nice and level. Maybe an issue for the dealer to look at on the first service.
Has anyone got any ideas? Faulty sensor maybe?

Take it off the paddock stand mate.

Still take it off the stands and do it by the book then there are no issues remember the stick once clean just goe's in without any turning (or screwing )

 

If I remember right mine shows 3/4 full on my stands and full when off stands and level, so it does change.
