Ok, so first ride out at the weekend in my new one piece leathers, my first decent set of leathers. First impressions were very very good, and a serious comfort improvement over my old 2 piece set. Made me up the pace a little too which was an interesting and unexpected side effect. Anyway, 2 negatives for me.....firstly they were so so hot, fine when going but as soon as I was off the bike i couldnt stop sweating. These are not perforated leather so I know that wouldnt help. Secondly, it took me literally 3 minutes to get out of them, and i nearly had to dislocate my shoulder, i knew that was to be expected, but really should it be that hard? This lead me to a bit of googling, and it turns out I need to wear a full wicking one piece undies set. I see these range from the unbranded sets at around £50, up to £150 ish. So, will they really keep me cooler, and can anyone make any recommendations based on experince? Thanks
I wear an edz base layer top, keeps me cool and easily slide out of leathers, and reasonably priced too
daft as it sounds, i wear the aldi long johns and top that i bought for late season riding under leathers, as it also stops you sticking to leathers in summer .
EDZ all in one undersuit. Great for summer or winter and I wore mine all weekend while at Anglesey and does save struggling getting out of a 1 piece.
EDZ undersuit for me as well, on my second set after the others looked a bit used after 5 years had these for 2 years, still look new, very reasonable on the price as well Mens : Baselayer : One Piece Suit - EDZ
Edz for me too wouldn't be without them, slide in and out no problem. My alpinestars one piece is perforated at the front and it's fantastic. keeps you cool on and off.
I am hearing lots of good things about Pro Skins also now http://www.proskins.co/store/en/moto/21-one-piece-baselayer-suit.html
I wear pro skins. They are awesome. Cool in the summer and your leathers never stick to you and they keep the warmer in the winter. Can't recommend them enough!
Got a dianese all in one kinky baby grow... But too much hassle, I tend to just wear the Nike pro base layers... Work excellent, cheap as you'll get elsewhere... Try sports direct or something, might find their own brand equivalent for peanuts and worth a try before you kit out in expensive stuff
I have BKS two piece base layer. Works well, but i did still get hot on my Skeggy trip on Sunday. Leathers came off great, but i couldnt get the top half of the base layer off! The Mrs had to do it for me!
