After years of riding and racing KTMs off road I've probably become a little spoiled by the excellent online spares service offered by many KTM dealers. I could order any part online and in 10 years never had to wait more than a week for anything. It makes the Japanese seem like complete amateurs by comparison. I'm looking for a Honda dealer that offers a decent online spares service. Well over 30 years of riding has taught me that I don't want to waste my time going to dealers to queue, to be told they don't stock basic service items, to wait for them to order them, to be told bits are on "back order" (wtf does back order mean other than we're wasting your time). Suppose you get the idea. I want to go onto a web site, be able to find my model of Fireblade, find the parts and order parts, pay and have them delivered without having to phone or visit (much like any other item these days). Is there anywhere that does this or am I just being silly? I have looked and they are either good at hiding or they just don't. thanks
Can't help with the Honda parts but run a Ktm exc myself and totally agree with the parts and spares.
Fowlers are good for that. Their parts website has microfiches so you can see every last part and check its the right one, and it also tells you their stock levels. Lings Honda is ok too. I used to use David Silver Spares too and that was ok, just not as flash as the Fowlers and Lings websites.
