Looking to remove my Leo Vince can and buy and get a standard system on.

Think I may have asked this..but can't find or remember..

So I have found a can for £35.

Does this need a link pipe also?

Also what about the sensor? As I don't have this in place on the Leo Vince link pipes..

    Any other parts needed.

    Thanks

    no link pipe needed.

Ask the seller if the link gasket is still resuable, if not you will need a new one. Also check the exhaust band is in good condition, mine just fell off when I fitted my yoshi.

It may be cheaper (and easier) not to bother with the sensor, just keep the o2 eliminator in place and bung the hole. I can imagine rerouting the sensor to be a right PITA if not you can buy this

Not sure how the exhaust flapper has been disabled but you may have a servo buddy in there, if the servo is still there reattachment of the servo cable is pretty straight forward

    Cool...well just bung the hole..

The flapper stuff is not in the bike..maybe removed by the last owner as there are no vacuum hoses at the front under the light etc..

Okay...why is it so difficult to get the pipe in..?

Inside of the pipe on the exhaust end is getting in the way..

    Guessing its the gasket?

    Do i need a gasket?

also clamp was all seized and i could not get it loose..so need a new clamp as well..

bummer - sunday so will have to wait till next week

No, it is a carbon black wound wire tube which slots into the pipe.

Yeah or it will not seal. The LV was an interference fit.

If you have the servo under the seat then it goes around the servo actuator and is connected to a flap in the exhaust which opens around 4k. The flapper mod is basically disconnecting it from the servo. Just tuck it up inside the seat subframe out of the way. The flap is sprung to fail open.

When I refitted my standard exhaust on my 13 plate I am sure it was a tight fit.
I cannot remember if I fitted the gasket onto the down pipe first before pushing the silencer on, use a bit lube.

The cable will be for the valve under the seat. It routes up behind the footrest.
The motor is under a plastic panel, you can see it above the hugger if you look up, it has three plastic screws I think.

Don't bother connecting the flap cable to the servo... not needed at all so wouldn't waste my time with it
