We found out today that the first round of NLR is only the island circuit for the 23rd, 25th, 26th March. Missing a couple of my favourite corners :(

Weather was good mate, in the morning anyway but it went very cold in the afternoon once the sun went in...

Really enjoyed yesterday mate bike rode great and finally got up to speed after dinner although i just couldn't get my head round that new corner. I shall be watching from there when the endurance lads go through it next week during the race..

What i did find strange was how badly the bike felt on Sunday when we went to Snett, the front end felt unstable and i lost it a couple of times. When releasing the brakes going into corners i was getting bounce back. Every time i pushed the bike felt worse...

Ive spoken to 3 people now, Colin form 100% Suspension, Nick Morgan from MSS and Steve Brogan, funnily they all gave the exact same reasoning for the bike running not so well at Snett. They all said that if the bike runs well at Caragena and now Oulton, 2 similar type tracks because of the bikes specs its highly unlikely it would run as well at Snett a completely different track type... Last year i did 7 laps at Snett on my completely stock bike and was 3 seconds quicker than i was on Sunday.... I can't get my head round what they are talking about but i do know that I'm struggling at Snett a circuit that i really do like...

Anyway we are all set for the race next week mate, so looking forward to it, when you next out??

look at it this way,you will have different gearing depending on the track (big straight, low gearing etc).it's exactly the same with suspension, snett is quick esp compared to oulton,so your braking from higher speeds, putting more pressure, for longer on the front end,so (and i'm no expert at all) to me,a little more support on the front might be needed, making it a bit firmer,so it's not working quite as hard, and not heating up the oil as much, giving consistant feel.if it's springing back, then your not trailing properly,or rebound damping needs to be more (slower to come back).

this is how i see it,but like i said,i have no idea what i'm talking about, just they way my mind see's it.
