Weather not looking too good for this one, cloudy, reasonably dry with possible odd shower and 5 degrees!!!
I just hope the one on the 20th is better - bring a fan heater is my top tip! (And a hat) And thermos gloves etc.
I am going this Wednesday if it doesn't get cancelled not to ride just to get my bike noise tested for the following week to make sure it passes with its new Yoshi Exhaust on.I will watch from my heated car .
I shall be in my sprinter heaters on full blast , drinking coffee or may even bring some soup , While you are riding past , Jason I shall be in a white sprinter van , 62 plate ,
I really hope the weather goes like a switch for next Wednesday the 20th when a good few of us are there - still time and could be total contrast
I will look out for you Barney I will be there from about 10.15 and will join you for a brew and a bacon butty while we watch the lads freeze there nuts off .
I know you watch it will be even colder I am sure once Mr Adrenaline kicks in you/ I won't feel a thing.
Just spent the morning with andy and Steve at oulton , Doing a cracking job they are , Nice to meet Jason also .
Awesome!Awesome! Awesome! What a bloody good day it was at Oulton Park! Little bit chilly but with all the adrenalin flowing I never felt it although we did have some snow in the last session! My 05 blade behaved impeccably despite not having turned a wheel in 18 months......well it is a Honda! Up at 5.00am this morning so it's been a long day, Met up with Andy (And7rp2) and a few of his mates. Barney and Jason also turned up to give some support. After briefing we were first out on track and just as I suspected Andy was off like a greyhound! Well he has been doing one a week for the last 3 or 4 weeks. Took me a few sessions to get up to speed but gradually it all came back to me. Quite a few "offs" during the day that I think was down to folk not warming their tyres properly, the most spectacular was a guy who managed to fall off leaving the pit lane before he even made it onto the track!! Anyway myself and Andy made it through the day with no mishaps other than Andy's front tyre warmer setting on fire! So now we're pleasantly knackered and looking forward to a re-run next Wednesday when we'll be joined by Alblade, Jason and Bigerndrums.
