Dont know if anyone follows No Limits on Facebook but today's event at Oulton was cancelled after a serious accident involving two riders than another three. I read three are critical, H&S exectutive and police involved. Spare a thought for anyone involved today and a speedy recovery to those who went down.. Take it easy guys. No Limits Trackdays Serious Incident today at Oulton Park I apologise to any customers who was inconvenienced after the circuit was closed this morning due to a serious multiple bike incident and the trackday cancelled. We had a situation that involved 2 bikes in fast group colliding at Turn 13, City Hall. (Between Knickerbrook and Druids) which left the riders and bikes down on the circuit after a fast blind corner. Unbeknowing to the riders following they exited the fast blind corner and straight in to the stricken bikes. Which caused a 5 bike incident. I am waiting for updates from the emergency services and staff at circuit but we have confirmed at least 3 riders critically injured. The circuit is closed and a full investigation has already started by the police and the H&S executive. I will bring you further information as I get it. To any family or friends of the riders today, We convey our deepest sympathies to you in this extremely worrying time. We are working with the authorities and circuit to bring the facts of this matter as soon as possible. Until then, please check our status for updates. Again, sincere apologies to all riders affected today as we had no option due to the seriousness of this unprecedented freak accident. To clarify, this is the first time we have had such a serious incident which has involved so many riders. We also believe this was a freak accident in a undersubscribed fast group at Oulton Park today.
Sad news, hope they make a full recovery. Thought it was a great response / comment from NL right until the last sentence where they covered their arse... Not needed, as from the sound of it, wasn't anyone's fault, just one of those things!
Terrible news robin, such a loss and devastating for all involved. Good chance somebody on here will have a connection * know of riders involved. Rest in peace and hope others involved all pull through without long term injuries.
Such sad news my thoughts go out to all involved . For those that don't know the section of track it really is a fast section and believe me you are really flying , so anyone coming from behind in to 2 bikes that have gone down there have next to know chance of avoiding it.
Very Sad news indeed RIP to the rider that lost his life And a speedy recovery to the others involved Simon
Can't believe this, we were all there on wednesday! Atleast the guy has died doing what he loved tho. Just goes to show it really aint a game and you can get seriously hurt! I never think about the consequences, bit of a wake up call. Hope all involved have a swift recovery.
Yes, sad news indeed, thoughts go out to the chaps family. Will put a dampener on our next visit this coming Wednesday no doubt!
Hi airblade and all other members of the site , the rider who lost his life today is my brother mick , the full details have not been released to myself and my brother who was there on track with mick. I would ask anyone on here not to speculate or add fuel to any rumours , and more so I ask anyone with any bike footage of the incident NOT to post it on the dreaded YOUTUBE ,as often happens , but instead hand it over to Cheshire police who are conducting an investigation into the tragic passing of my brother . Thanks for all your kind words guys cheers Pete & Phil
Was their today, it's such a shame RIP to the rider that lost his life and speedy recovery to all involved
My brother and I are in bits , mick was a fantastic kind man who lived and breathed bikes at least he died doing what he loved ! Just to put the record straight the incident happened at the hill top area not where no limits are reporting ? Rip mick love you to bits kiddo !
I dont know what limits have reported. I was there on wednesday and there are some very fast bits of the track. You are right atleast he passed doing something he was passionate about. You and your other brother have each other still to get through this. If there is anything the forum or trsckday community can do to make things easier mate please just say. mark
Its at times like this that family and friends pull together mate, and I can only hope that you can take comfort in knowing that they are all there for you in this time of need. My Sympathies are with you all.
