I need to get a seat cowl painted for an RR4. I have the Colour: NH 341 P I have the Colour Code: NH 341 KB Question: As this is the tri-colour white/red/blue, how the heck do I give a paint shop a code for just white? I spent 30 mins Googling, and nothing seems to determine a specific code for the white which is often identified as 'Pearl White'. As the tank is white and perhaps the dominant colour, might that mean the white code IS: NH 341 P? Anyone had experience with this? Cheers.
Pearl white is metallic. I think the standard white will be Ross White, this Ebay link says NH196 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-NH...0ML-DIRECT-GLOSS-MOTORBIKE-BIKE-/300432466995 Cheers, Ian.
Thanks Ian. The paint is metallic. The Honda colour code chart lists 6 different whites, 4 of them a variation of 'Pearl'. I am trying to get definitive information so as to not buy the wrong product or give wrong information to a paint shop. There is no reference to 'NH196' on my bike's paint info label.
I I hadn't but just did. It is a USA site and appears they didn't have the tri-colour. Doesn't matter anyway, problem resolved. The my local dealer, they did some checking and it turns our that the colour actually is NH341P because the tank colour is dominant and that becomes the bike colour. It is known as Fadeless White and not Pearl White as I had believed. I have a local paint shop mixing it and doing the job tomorrow. I later found an interesting article which might be of interest to 04 - 05 owners: http://www.motorbike-search-engine.co.uk/2004_Bikes/honda-cbr1000.php
RS Bike paint are good. http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/colours.php I contacted them last year regarding the correct paint codes for my bike and they came back to me very quickly with all the information I needed. I found the paint I got from them to be an excellent match. I also tried the Ross White from eBay (as in the post above) and although it was a decent quality paint and I got a good finish, the colour match wasn't perfect.
