    Good Morning

time for another set of stupid question from me. I have my bike in pieces i.e. no front cowl, no headlight, no tank cover, no tank, no airbox, no side panels, no bellypan, no seats, no rear cowl, no battery and no undertray.

The thing is while its like this I want to do all I can or should so my questions are:
    1. Should I remove the PAIR valve with blanking plates and the flappers from the air intake tubes.
    2. If I do remove the flappers can I remove all the tubes and the bottle from the front cowl area
    3. Do I need anything in terms of plug in to correct anything i.e. to stop warning lights

I don't want to do this for increased power or anything it will just make taking the side panels off a bit easier and give me more room for the HID ballasts.

I know this has been brought up before but I cant seem to find out if its ok to do or not. Again its not for power its just for space and a bit of while its apart why not

I have a PC3 and Ignition module and quickshifter fitted with an O2 sensor eliminator and a Yoshi R77 slip on

    Thanks

You can either do all of that or just remove the gubbings from the air tubes and blank off the vacuum hose at the front of the bike, I have race style tubes fitted and didn't bother removing/blanking off everything under the air box. Takes 2 mins and will make the room you are after.

Take all flaps out etc solenoid everything all you will be left with is a small air tube which runs from throttle bodies coming out left frame spar . Block with a little bolt and a cable tie this will not throw up a FI light .

Pair valve while you there do them I did easier to dyno in the future again this will not throw up a FI light

Just go for it.. I put my HID ballast x 2 where the Air flap bottle was.. left the flap but removed the bottle, pipes etc and put a bolt in the tube, and blanked the PAIR with these from Greece - came in about 4 days:

Guess it a case of "another couple of points ticked off"

a couple of photo's of the HID ballast tucked away as mentioned above (I did both headlights, so Ballast hidden both sides).. and the PAIR removed / plates installed.

Thanks to everyone for your help especially Gilesy the pics helped a lot even though mine is a 2011 Blade.
Its all complete now PAIR valve removed and flaps gone out of the air intake tubes.
Just waiting for some more parts that ive ordered and then it can all go back together and hopefully have a bit of a break in the weather to try it out.
